Anamorphic lenses operate by capturing a wider image than would normally be possible with standard optics. They accomplish this by horizontally squeezing a wider image onto your phones sensor. As this lens performs a squeeze of 1.33x the horizontal field of view will increase by 33% which gives videos an aspect ratio of 2.40:1 as compared to the spherical or non-anamorphic ratio of 1.78:1 (16:9).
Sirui built this lens optics using German-manufactured Schott glass and the lens housing features aircraft-grade aluminum components both of which increase durability and resolution. The optics also feature multi-layer anti-reflective coatings. The VD-01 can be mounted to your phone using Siruis Mobile Lens Clip Adapter and it may also be used with Siruis Circular Polarizer Filter and Adjustable ND Filter.

Reject Plastic
Each element of this lens is constructed using German-manufactured Schott optical glass with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings. The lens housing is made using aircraft-grade aluminum components.

Sirui Mobile Lens Clip Adapter
The VD-01 attaches to Siruis Mobile Lens Clip Adapter.

Compatible Filters
Sold separately this lens can be used with Siruis Circular Polarizer and Adjustable ND filters.

App Required
In order to properly display videos shot with this lens in their proper 2.40:1 aspect ratio the free Sirui Lens app is required. The FilMic Pro app is also available as a separate purchase for more professional features.
