USING FOOD COLORING FOR FONDANT Although you can spray fondant a different color after sculpting the necessary surfaces adding color in the beginning can create a better final product. You will need to color the fondant you will use all at the same time to prevent tint differences. Therefore measure out your fondant ahead of time and start kneading it into a softball.

Upon softening the fondant add a couple drops of your preferred Chefmaster Liqua-Gel food coloring concentration to the surface and continue kneading. If you are making a creation with bold deep colors do not be afraid to use up to one ounce of gel food coloring per cup of fondant. Add flavoring as well to brighten the taste of the fondant but avoid adding too much as that may overpower the flavor of the cake.
